I managed to do one lesson a day here, even with worse wi-fi than home.
I’m trying to revive my poor Wi-Fi posts. It’s not easy! Sorry.

I’m trying to revive my poor Wi-Fi posts. It’s not easy! Sorry.
Much owling makes wormy birds. (Sorry the picture didn’t load. I’ll try to fix that this weekend.) Cold nights on an air mattress make me grumpy.

I wrote this on Tuesday morning. I didn’t sleep well. And this campsite being close enough to town that there’s a lot of traffic on the road below and the camp is full of early risers.

Let me put this plainly. Getting older isn’t simple. I used to rearrange the furniture quite often. Getting ready for company took hardly any effort. I haven’t even started packing. I do have a list. Hopefully, because it is for camping, it’ll be simple.
Even so…

This week I’ve been busy planning for company and a camping trip this next week. I wish I could take Milo but the camping spot would cost us two vintage ladies more for the site. So the guys will bach it while we try to show that over 70 ladies can rough it. We did it before, a couple years ago. We can do it again.
I may not have a lot of time to blog. But maybe I’ll share a picture or two.
I can’t wait! And I’m grateful for the motivation to clean up a bit, too.

My Next Breath: A Memoir by Jeremy Renner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
It’s always hard to rate memoirs. It is a life experience through another’s eyes. And for what Jeremy Renner went through to have so much gratitude and love and enjoyment of life is a miracle.
Jeremy Renner not only wrote of his experience but also narrates the book well.
I think my biggest issue is the repetition. Still, I think it is through enthusiasm and need to school his own spirit that these phrases and stories repeat.
I am grateful to have listened to this audiobook on Libby.
The President’s Daughter by Bill Clinton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Don’t read this if you expect to ease into sleep at night. At 4:30 in the morning, I had to force the audiobook off so I could sleep. And yet I couldn’t. This book was very suspenseful.
With a cast of narrators that includes Tony Goldwyn, Fajer Al-Kaisi, James Chen, Jeremy Davidson, Amanda Dolan, Peter Ganim, Dion Graham, January LaVoy, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Soneela Nankani, the story is lively. The characters are full, flawed, and human.
About halfway through, I thought it was just an epilogue from the end. Then I looked at the progress line and saw that there was still a lot more to read. I needed to sleep!
This book is the second installment in the series, and I find that the collaborative writing of James Patterson and Bill Clinton creates a believable story that is also somewhat scary. Let this serve as a warning to be read in the light of day. Maybe a car ride audio rather than bed.
I am grateful to have borrowed this Libby audiobook.
