Why Friday

Yesterday I was so tired I barely knitted. Sure, I’m not the battery rabbit, but my hands and brain usually won’t stop.

Today was better, but it still feels blah and force to get anything done.

So I am using why? Is it the diet?

Hey, Keto friends, did you go through times of tiredness? How about times of oily face and hair? Why are my limbs still dry and flaky?

Sure, it could be the times I get up with the dog all night. The lack of continuous sleep?

I realize I am still learning how to make the Keto with mostly vegetarian going on is hard to do. But I do enjoy the salmon and spinach salad with cheese. I am increasing salads and olive oil, and salmon. I’m decreasing, well, eliminated bread but decreasing other carbs. I’m trying not to be too strict and just trying to make it healthier and healthier. I am still doing the 16/8 fast/eat. That part is quite easy. I keep trying to force the fast time longer just to see how long I can go without getting jittery, which so far I do just fine that way.

Why is my brain mushy? Yet, I must say on the days when I have salmon, it seems better–or am I just fooling myself?

Just…

Thus Thursday

Do you ever feel like this? A most unproductive day. Much nap, little knit. Maybe a good night’s sleep and I’ll be back to normal.

Hope your day had more fun and energy. 🤗💜

Chatting with my daughter, Zooming with my friend, and finishing the pair of socks make a perfect Wednesday.

Ta Da Tuesday

I had hoped that I’d have a whole pair. But only one is finished. I hate leaving a loom empty with leftover sock stitch markers. So on the upper left, the next toe of an opposite color combo of the ones nearly finished. Middle is the finished product. Right the sock still needing a few more rows.

Sunday

I finally finished the socks. I’m so sad that the colors don’t look the same even though they are the same yarn. But at least they are the same size.

While knitting, I enjoyed these two films among other programs.

I’ve always been a fan of the Dianna Ross version in Lady Sings the Blues. I was excited to see this one with her son on another side of the great Billy’s life,

Then I was walking through the bedroom, and my husband had on the TV there. I saw Craig Ferguson on and knew I had to watch this:

What a sweet movie with humor and Scotland! I highly recommend this one.

Happy Sunday, everyone! And

goodnight kisses

I spent my Saturday listening to a podcast of controversy, travesty of facts and fictions distorted by money and lies. But fishing through we still don’t know what to do or who caused what. Still, I think it best to hear all sides to see the forests in shades of trees.

Müde Montag

I don’t know why I’m so tired today.  But:

Hope you had a good one.

Sunday Funday, Mostly

After enjoying  CBS Sunday Morning, and may I say I am a Cindy McCain fan now. I mosied over to my Zoom service. I have missed the last few weeks. How does one miss a Zoom service when you don’t have to dress up and be somewhere? Well, one does have to wake up on time. And I haven’t lately. So it was fun and informative. I was convinced to order this book on Audible.

Then I spent the rest of the day knitting and watching free live Galaxycons that I had signed up for earlier. I found I will watch any of them, even shows I never cared for, as I love hearing the people talk about their times, learning about following their passions of acting. I even watched one about Goofy and Mickey Mouse voices and the Little Mermaid’s stars. Here is one of their commercials. Maybe the ones talking aren’t who you are interested in, but go in and see if they have some convention stars you might like to know more about.

So I put off this blog hoping to show you that I had completed a pair of socks. And though that is true, what I found at the latest sock was larger than the first one. After another count of pegs, I saw I had miss counted hence the larger-sized one. Now I have the decision to frog the big one and put it on the smaller-counted pegged arm of the CinDWood X-loom. Or Frog both and start over on another couple looms. OR make two more socks on the same two arms of the loom that the ones I just finished came off of giving me two pairs, one bigger than the other like this time. Decisions, decisions! I like the one sock. I don’t want to frog it. I hate working on the big loom, so I dread knitting two more socks on it. I think I can handle one more, so that is what I will do. Frog the big put on the lessor pegs, and hopefully, I will be done with the smaller pair soon.

Let the frogging begin!

Have to do with utter breakdowns, sweaty palms, shaking uncontrollably?

Noive! As our Cowardly lion taught us. Okay, the word is Nerve but I always heard him say it noive. I lose my nerve on phonecalls (answering or making–any that aren’t family and friends), speaking on stage. Meeting new people (though I love meeting new people!) and I used to–and probably would again since it’s been so long–singing solos. But what I learned from that lion is that if you do your best to memorize the song, dress up and look your best, and play the part of someone confident I can sing. The song that goes with that noive for me is sung by Maria Von Trapp: I have confidence. When I can internalize that song I can psych myself the nerve.
