At Home

Look what got here while I was gone:

An Enya. A nice case. Strings and tuner in the zipper pocket.
This is so much smaller than my Memorex but has great sound. It is matt black but doesn’t look at all black in the picture. A nice strap came with.
There was a box but I have shared and enjoyed a few.

I’m so glad to be home! So happy to be with my hubby. Glad to get back into my little routine. But I really miss my new friends. Including Mia and Hermione.

Mia was sweet but not feeling well, what with allergies and age against her.
Hermione is such a love I threatened to kidnap her. She’s still with her family. Don’t worry.

I enjoyed the heck out of my five laps last night.

It was way too cold and I was way too tired for more.

More Pics From Funko

Funko is a fun little store with bobblehead type characters of everyone, animated or real. Besides Sailor Moon from yesterday, here are others I enjoyed.

Apparently, the store used to be bigger and it’s undergoing a renovation.

My friends had Funkos made of themselves . I would have but for $$ . Sadly you can’t order the personalized ones on their website. Funko

I’ve had fun on this adventure. Even the peopling parts were fun.

But I’m looking forward to my own bed and fam.

One-Liner Wednesday

Funko

I was there!

Btw, anyone notice I had no idea what day of the week it is?

Finished, umm, Sunday?

Yay! I got these done in time for the birthday party last night. And, I’m told, they fit!

I have more pics of my travels but no time.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “water.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

My favorite word. Except on long drives is water. I’ve taken more pics of the stuff than anything else while on this adventure.

Tide in. With cranes.
People ferry. And cranes of a different sort.

And then from the ferry to Seattle:

Not just a Grey’s Anatomy prop!

I love when you can taste the water in the air. Sea breeze saltiness. Ummm. Water.

It’s Real!

Not a Grey’s Anatomy myth!

Got to take a ferry to Seattle. Space Needle! No, I didn’t get to go in. But I enjoyed the view!

I’ll share the beach walk for tomorrow as well, there’s a secret to keep until then.

View with a Pool

And it had two rooms, one with a king size bed, the other had two queens. Two TVs we didn’t use.

The pool was only 5 feet deep. Even as short as it was it took me a few to enjoy laps. The jacuzzi made travel weary bones happy.

One-Liner Wednesday

The downside of needing lots to do with my hands is traveling.

Two suitcases, two sleeping bags (cause I don’t like feeling like a caterpillar), swimsuit with two suits (cause I intend to swim!), two other pairs of shoes, travel tea, a folding chair, knitting (three projects), two Fires for reading and games, and purse of emergency stuff, you know, just in case. In other words, I bring home with me.

What This Comedian Said Will Shock YouWhat This Comedian Said Will Shock You by Bill Maher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’m not finished with this book yet, but I know I will in the next two nights. I will be so busy that I won’t have time to do a proper review. But at 75% finished, I think my thoughts on the review won’t change much.

Bill Maher can cause me to laugh out loud, nod in agreement, OR scream at my TV (at least in my head). And I’m okay with that. I like hearing different points of view presented with a sense of humor or thoughtfully. This book is like his show; it is open and works over ideas. Bill’s point of view. This is one that you don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I feel we can disagree and still like/love each other. Bill gives us other ways to look at it all.

I was lucky to get this from Libby as an Audible. Bill Maher narrates with all his best humor and maybe a bit of bitterness. But thoughtfully, respectfully, um, for the most part.

Give it a try and see what you think.
