Almost finished with my dragon.

Second sock nearly caught up with first sock. Heels start tomorrow.
And memoir is coming along.

Writing, dotting, knitting, chatting with friends. What a great day!

Saw this on Facebook:

Unfortunately, that is all the music of the day. 😥
But finally got the wordage flowing. With the 25k goal I’m at 13,462. I may have another thousand before bed. So it looks doable again.
Sock 1 is heading for the heel. I’ll probably get there tomorrow.

The end is in sight on this dragon.

I lowered my goal for CampNaNo. 25k instead of 50k. Now I have less pressure and more fun ahead.

How is it Saturday already?
How is it I didn’t realize it was AtoZ April?
How is it I can’t do anything I’m supposed to do but spending so much energy and time on everything but my tasks?
Well, three days behind on writing. But…

Slipper one at heel stage. Tomorrow slipper two heel.

Okay. Not to be hard on myself. Even though I had dilated eyes I opened a speech-to-text app. I talked out some memories to add to my project. Certainly not enough, but something.
Next task is yWriter and writing. Two and a half days of writing tonight. But how?

Even so this happened:

And a quick word count for my CampNano memoir. 4,465. I still need another 800 before bed. So far, it’s fun. But the project and I are still young. LOL! And back to it!

We are still walking. It’s become a part of our daily story. Above is one of the scenes we see. We went this way today.

We went straight until we heard the prompt say it was a mile. Then turned around.

So coming around back towards our street a neighbor came out to talk to us. She was concerned about a dog in a house closer to us. It seemed tangle in chains. They had tried to give the dog water as the chain was keeping the dog standing and unable to reach food or water.
The dog owner had been suffering from a stroke so none of us knew where he was.
We reported it to the sheriff looking for a welfare-check for the dog’s owner. My brother and husband untangled the chain and brought the dog here to chain in our front yard.

Anyway, that walk was short for milage but long on story.
I’ve set up my yWriter7 for my memoirs. CampNano started today. I think my goal is a little too high, 50k. My imagination is good for that. But real life? I can already see it will be a bit of a psychological trip but to get to nuggets to share I need to walk in the mully grubs.
In other news…

Now back to the mully grubbing.

Just so you don’t think I’ve left my knitting behind. This hat is ready for the crown decrease.

Today’s walk looks the same but we went the opposite way. It was barely raining. We could almost walk between the drops.

Made progress on the rewrites of book two. I was supposed to get another 6k this month but may have to be happy with what I will have on the 31st.

CampNano starts April 1st. This time I’m thinking of making it an autobiography. My cousin has sent me a tape recorder and tapes to start recording family memories. I thought writing it all down might help with recording and vice versa.
Anyway, happy Monday!
Journaling has always been hit and miss for me. I was most successful last year. In January at the beginning of the pandemic I heard someone say the more people who wrote about our world and related it personally, the better for the archeologists who find said diaries.
I was extremely consistent and as accurate as I could be and let my worst fears, angers, and imaginations go wild. I managed longer than any other attempt at writing a journal. I think I wrote daily at least until June. Then the journal informed my Camp NaNo project Pandamapocalypse.
By September, I had fallen into my old habits. At first, I missed a day here or there. Before I knew it months had gone by with no entries.😪
At least here at the blog and Duolingo, I’ve been consistent for quite a while, a couple of years, actually. So, not a journal per se. But an entry a day. Yay!
