One-Liner Wednesday

Fun socks!

I can’t wait to see the pinks show up.

TaDa Tuesday

My hands are tired. But the heels are turned. Just the leg and cuff left to do. Yay!

Made it Monday

Finally! I think I’ve been working on these socks off and on for at least a year. I started off trying Crazy Sick Lady Vanilla Socks on Hiya Hiya Flyers then moved the project to Chiaogoo red-laced short cable needles. All that was too fiddly for me. I eventually transferred the socks to a long Chiaogoo red-laced cable of the same size. Finally, I felt I could finish.

Let me say, I don’t like working too down. I didn’t like how to do the heel. I certainly don’t like doing the Kitchener toe, though I think I did it okay for once.

See the yarn bits left? I was in a game of yarn chicken. But I made it with enough to patch little bits.

I do think I’ll try again on children’s socks. I think it is good to learn other techniques. And practice a few times.

Silliness on a Sunday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “to me.” Find a way to use the phrase “to me” in your post. Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

That’s easy! Happy Birthday to me!!! I am so blessed with so much family and so many friends. And the line blurs between.

Recently, I got the notice of over 2,000 followers. That was a shock. I’m just keeping track of my passions and my life.

If You Would Have Told MeIf You Would Have Told Me by John Stamos
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

John Stamos was on a talk show promoting this book. Immediately, I put it in the search area on Libby. And there it was!

This is an honest account of Mr. Stamos’s life. In that, I feel I can’t really be a judge. It feels like he wrote it in his own voice, and as he narrated, it sounded quite real.

In a sense, I found myself a bit bored. But a great life well lived isn’t always full of action, adventure, and conflict. It was good for bedtime, and it didn’t keep me up worrying or stressed. I cared about what he was talking about and felt his feelings about it all.

Some ratings are very high. Others are quite low. Judge for yourself. It was interesting. And I am glad he is finding success in his life.

Thus Thursday

How the morning started.
During a blustery hour in the afternoon.
Snow turned to rain then blue sky and worse–COLD!
But pretty from my cozy living room.

Meanwhile, for the last two or three days I’ve been learning to make leg warmers. I had up to 2 inches but had to frog it and start over.

I couldn’t find a leg-warmer two at a time pattern. I really need to do it that way as I know my ADD will leave me with only one..

Suddenly I realized, DUH! Just use measurements for the cast on of the leg-warmer patterns I did find. Then follow the tutorials for Two-At-A-Time Top Down socks. Like this one-

So this is how I spent a semi- snowy day:

TAAT Leg-Warmers! Yay! I think I’m getting it!

One-Liner Wednesday

Nothing makes me happier than seeing this:

These two have loved each other since they met. They are so good for each other. She’s 22 and slowing down. He has a lot of pain, she seems to ease.

Ta Da Tuesday

I finally organized my wig stuff I’d been playing with since before Halloween. Now it’s all in it’s own bin.

Then I started organizing my hobby shelf. Just the art cubby.

Now I can find what I need.

And now I can get back to

And

Yes, my diamond painting and piano are calling.

But before I can go to bed these two are wanting attention.

Tuning and a chord or two, and Aura Lee.

Who knew? It’s fun!
