Each of these books introduces another layer of paranormal being. We meet a poltergeist in this one. Sadly, we don’t get to know the ghost in the depth we have in the others, witches and vampires. Maybe that is yet to come? I suggest it.
Anyway, as fun as the previous books were, this one didn’t let me down. I’m getting used to not sleeping because the book has me wrapped up in all the yarn tangles.
I love the author’s way of telling a story and I think that Sarah Zimmerman brings it all to life. Her ability to switch accents or voices to act out each character.
My biggest problem is not being able to find another boxed set for books 10-12. Seems like I’ll have to read them one by one.
Bring ’em on! I love this series!

Per Linda: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: βchews/choose.β Use one, use βem both, use βem any way youβd like. Bonus points if you get βem both in. Have fun!

Choosing between this and that can be difficult at best. Especially if you are not great at making choices. I will chew on a decision for hours, even seemingly easy selections. A salad or frozen veggies? Yogurt or cottage cheese, chocolate or caramel. Trying to be healthy makes the decision for me, sadly. And beyond that most preferences aren’t life or death. Most aren’t even resulting in monetary wealth or poverty. Yet, I can be frozen as if the wrong alternative will be the end of the world.
Others could already be chewing happily on their appetizers while I’m dazzled by the menu like a deer in headlights.
And we only go out once or twice a year! You’d think it would be easy. Just pick something!
This isn’t just a food thing. I need to call someone. Who to call, when to call, should I even call? Usually the day goes by and I realize I never called anyone. Every decision of my life seems of equal depth. I know it shouldn’t be that way. I know other people just move along doing life.
Me? Let me chew on it. I’ll let you know in my next life.π₯
The Vampire Knitting Club Boxed Set: Books 4-6 by Nancy Warren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This review is for the Audible edition with this ASIN: B09Z7BLVY4, with Sarah Zimmerman as narrator. The writing is marvelous, but Ms. Zimmerman’s acting is superb!
This series is so much fun that I can’t wait for the next box-set batch of books. As of the middle of the night, I’m already on to books 7-9. It is so much fun it is hard to leave the books and actually go to sleep at night.
Not into vampires, no worries. No biting happens; none of the scary or boring vamps who do interviews. Not conversant in knitting? No problem; no patterns are thrown in the works to get tangled in.
Yet, if you have had some experience with either the undead or yarn, you will feel the author is writing for you personally.
There is a little paranormal romance, but not enough to gum up the works. There is witchy fun despite the cozy murders that keep happening in each book. Regardless of these inabilities, the un-undead, non-knitting heroine will get it figured out.
Now back to my reading/listening fun.
Just stopping by to say, hi. The internet is not yet up. The guy didn’t come to reinstall. So Tuesday maybe life will go back to something sort of normal.
No streaming. Just commercial TV. Lots of Rampage, San Andreas, Dr. Oakley.
They finally got our new landline up. Hopefully those who need the number got it. Let me know if I forgot you.
Have a great Thursday!
Isn’t it amazing how little honest communication comes out of companies supposedly dedicated to communication? (My husband has been on the phone texts and emails trying to get Internet and answers about when the service person would be here. ALL DAY FOR TWO DAYS! And the job won’t be done until Tuesday!)

Somehow I am out of room for a picture. It was of the middle panel of the afghan. It stretched from my toes to my hips. It was to show how much fabric one Yarnspirations Caron Jumbo skein creates. That’s 12 oz./340 g. Or 595 yards. One more skein to finish the middle panel. Then I’ll get the side panels finished.
Another note. I’m ready to go analog. We spent the day getting rid of Hughes Internet. They have been untruthful. We’ve not been able to do Zoom or anything else since we joined them. Half the time, no Internet at all.
Now that we’re back with Century Link we had to get a new phone number. None of it works until Thursday or Friday. Ugh!
I’m so glad we have DVDs. And that I can do most things ever so uncomfortably, on my cell. Just tell my eyes and fat fingers how much we rely on them.
Picture my cartoon self on the floor with the caption ‘I can’t even!’
