A to Z Challenge, Z

There’s a bit of month left over but by meandering through the alphabet I’ve hit Z. No more letters And…

Zero stitches to knit on Chris’s birthday socks!

A quick review of my favorite sock pattern:

Turkish cast-on starts the toe. Increase to width of foot. Work width until nearing the arch. Rib the arch. A couple inches of width-knit. Then start Fleegle Heel. Knit width of ankle for a couple of inches. Then rib desired cuff length. Jeny’s stretchy cast-off finished the sock. You can research this site or YouTube for each of the identified bits of the Chiaogoo Two At A Time Socks.

Now on to the other socks I started earlier but had to put away for the birthday socks. Yay!

Zero angst!

Yay! Yarn! Yet more projects are waiting, yearning for attention.

Finally made it to the cuff! I will finish these this weekend.
Made it to the upper third. This is the time I turn it upside down to work on the top.

Meandering Alphabet

(W)hy is there an X for the 24th day of the month?

(W)ouldn’t it be easier to leave the letter out?  Then it would be the ex letter. But then our exes won’t exist? No more xylophone? Ah, that would be a loss.

Wondering why so many Ws? I hadn’t hit that letter yet. Wander with me just don’t miss the exit!

A to Z, 22=V

Here is a view of the uncovered sofa. Yeah, I’m backing up a little to make sure my meandering alphabet gets covered. Here’s to future naps and overnight guests!🤗

It came with fold up cup holders!
Thanks to Heather, David, and Dana.
Dana is keeping the covers on to protect it from claws.

So this is our new pet. Gump the sofa beast from the Land of Oz. Sorry no picture of the Gump. But research brings a lot up.

Thus Thursday A-Z

Never overlook popular quests like the A-Z Challenge. If you do you will find yourself struggling to keep up. Hopefully, I’m caught up now.

Sadly, I’m still behind in book reviews. That’s okay. It’ll work out. We’re just a happy, busy fur baby family.

Check out AtoZChallenge.com for true rules. I’m just vaguely trying. Rogue sounds like too much energy!😀

Our lives feel weird. We are blessed. But we admit to questions. My husband and I don’t necessarily believe in reincarnation. And in the case of the new cat who was born while her doppelganger lived with us it seems impossible. Oh, and by the way, we’ve finally got the close under the skirt, to find Shiloh is female.

So, we had Teddy from the time he was a young kitten.

Rosey was 12 when we rescued her.

Kali was an older dog when we adopted her.

Over a year ago we lost each ine over the rainbow bridge.

We felt the losses profoundly.

Even as we felt that, we knew there were furry friends who needed new forever homes.

Ginger=Teddy, Black cat=Rosey, Black and white dog=Kali

Manifesting, prayers, the screaming cries of our souls?

We are each feeling the gratitude and wonderment. We didn’t seek out replacements. As my vision board showed, I needed a small dog. My specifics were merely someone small enough for me to pick up.

Yet, somehow we got Sammie

Who is in hiding from the barking dog, he’s hiding near and behind the fridge. He’s getting braver.
Shiloh who is afraid of nothing.
Milo, our new doughnut dog.

Cat and dog doppelgangers. Living the dream.

This is me gently playing the A-Z challenge. Yes, I’m a day ahead but who knows how long that will last.

A lazy-bones, anti-follower, attempted a peaceful brawl, and all in One-Line. It is Wednesday after all.

Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday.

Random A-Z.

The original prompts for this month can be found here:  http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com

But I find the page and process a bit much this year. So I’ve gone rogue. A renegade of the blogosphere.

But the beauty at the end of the last false spring day brings near tears to my eyes. See those dark clouds on the horizon? That’s the beginning of a few more days of blizzardy, blustery cold. We might even get snow. If so I may try to go out and throw a ball or two. But I’ll be dreaming about scenes like this.

My diamond painted beach helps me feel wet sand between my toes.

Bringing beach images begets being at the beach. Bottom line.

A to Z Challenge

The most challenging aspect of the a-z challenge is figuring out how to sign up. Then the next problem is bringing pictures over and finding, say, A. The first one I see is about overall. The next thing I find is the B post for tomorrow.

So once again I guess I’m going rogue. Hey, the alphabet belongs to all. I do want to give the originators of this fun month the credit they deserve. So while all rogue I’ll make sure to link back the best I can.

Since I couldn’t find the A graphic to download

While I wait for the stock picture above to upload, I’ll catch you up on my beach diamond painting. Almost halfway done.

From an airplane it might look like a beach scene.

My little lighthouse that I diamond paint in my recliner is almost halfway through, too.

It is harder to work on. It is small and the drills are inconsistent sizes. It was very inexpensive. I may try to use this for an idea I’m working on. Art. I may paint over or use leftover drills to add dimensions. I don’t know. It’s just popping around in my head. We’ll see how it works out.

And now it’s time for ukulele playtime.

Yes, my hair has grown out and it isn’t always purple.

Animals

(Kali, Teddy, and Rosey) Social Distancing on my bed while I get morning writing done.

This is how it started.

Then Rosey (you can barely see her but the blackness with the blue tag on the right) wanted to join.

Yep, that’s when they all got up and chased through the house.

And that was the start of #A-to-Z Challenge.
