I have read/listened to other books by David Richo and felt this would be up my alley. Sadly, it is twenty-five years too late. I am in a good relationship now. We already follow a lot of the concepts Richo presents.
Still, I think there is a lot for everyone in this book. Having the author lead the listener through meditations as an audiobook is nice.
So many truths from scriptures, history, and other sources take more than one listen. It might be great to have the book and the audio, as I would have loved to go through and highlight those I felt were appropriate for me.
I was fortunate to pick this copy up on Libby, the library app.
I took the socks off the two-at-a-time needle thinking I was ready to cast off. THEN I asked my brother how long he needed the cuff. Darn! He needs a long cuff so his boots don’t rub his legs. Hopefully, they will be finished by Friday.
This continues Paz’s story, and though it starts out with him in a bad place, he comes around to being the person I loved from the beginning of this series.
And once again, the exploration and adventure take over. I loved this addition to the series. There are two more little books about folks of this series. I can’t wait to fill in the missing pieces, Liz Shipton, author, supplies us.
I can’t wait to get started on what’s next.

I hate to admit that I got confused between ‘Paz’ and ‘Passage’ about what happened in which book. I read them both in one night. So what I said for Paz can go here, too.
[These are] the least favorite of this series. I understand the need to view from another character than Bird. It is her friend turned lover, Sargoโs point of view. But sadly, he isnโt as perfect as we thought in previous books.
[And now Paz is falling for Johnny. Our lead man is confused on so many levels. We all get there sometimes. The best fictional characters show a lot of flaws and confusion.]
Another thing I didnโt like was all the fighting with or without weapons. I love visiting all the alternate dimensions, but the good guy and bad guy stuff was hard to take. And though the sex scenes before were fun, now it got weird, and with drugs involved, especially from the drug-free anchor partner, it just made Sargo even less appealing to me.
Still, as part of the series, I felt this part of the story needed to be told. And Iโve already moved on to #6! There is still a lot of interesting adventure to be had here.

As an introvert are there more terrifying words? I can say that it won’t matter if you are famous or a complete unknown I shake and sweat.
I love knowing a person so well we can solve the problems of the world in deep long conversations that last all night. We may not agree on anything but we can share our souls.
But that first part, just past the handshake? I’m lousy. Small talk is like climbing Everest. And I have more energy for the climb.
Could we all just sit and color, write, knit and chat? I’m good with that.
Can I finish 5 more knitted rows and about 7 rows of ribbing before midnight tomorrow night? And not feel crippled for days after? I’m going to try. I rarely am able to present homemade presents on time. This wins closest time.๐

Smiling Turtle is nearly finished. This last bit, at the top, but worked upside down, bottom may take a week. I better find a new project, soon! Oops! Found a sunset DP in my project box to open. Yay!

Hobby shelves
My weekend project is to move that hobby shelving unit will go on the old dining table behind my DP table. It’ll work as a room divider, so folks in the kitchen don’t distract me as I play the piano or Diamond Paint. That empties the spot under the window to put up my keyboard. More help towards the improving/composition goal for the year.
Along those lines I pulled out my Miracle Keyboard to play chords and such while in the living room. Now, no matter where I land there are ivories to play (okay, no elephants were harmed for these–unless they are plastic pachyderms ๐). At least with the keyboards, I can don earphones.
By the way, did any of you have the Miracle Keyboard that attached to your computer. The lessons were games. My daughter learned to play using that system. I looked all over to show you the cute games it came with, but it took a deep dive for very little enjoyment.
Anyway, that’s what’s finishing me this Friday. How are you all doing?
This series is so good that I can’t stop long enough to dwell on the book I just finished and continue reading the next non-stop. Sadly, that means I can’t remember specifics about book #3. But it is full of adventure and exploration of unknown places.
What I like best about the series is the superpower of ADHD and how it affects a person. It can cause many problems, but it has surprising benefits when conquered. And even more so in these books.
After reading the author’s bio, I can see why she can write about it so believably.
I hope I’ve convinced you to give this series a try. A word of caution: There are sexy bits, but fast-forward works if you aren’t interested, and you won’t lose any story. Yet, the scenes don’t feel out of place, so they feel natural. These are for Young Adults. So…
This series is slowly becoming my favorite ever. I have recently begun to embrace the fact that ADD/ADHD is a superpower. This series embraces that, too. Check out these books’ blurbs, as I am sure I won’t do the story justice.
I couldn’t let go of book 2; it was too early, so I downloaded book 3, Soul, and had to fight myself to stay out of the book during the day. I can’t wait for the bedtime read to see what happens with Bird and her adventures.
All that and pirates, too?! Yes! This is fun, with some serious things to say to young and old readers. Please look up the Thalssic series. Enjoy!
